About the Author
Hello one and all, my name is Robbie Lee and I am the creator of this humble corner of web space that you are currently enjoying. What can I say about myself? There’s not really that much to mention, in real life I’m not all that exciting of a person. I guess I’ll start by saying that I’m a Psychology/Behavior Sciences major at Concordia University Nebraska (with a minor in art). I’ve designed this site to display my artistic endeavors as well as to create a place for me to vent and express my various thoughts and opinions. Me and my friend Ivory first registered this domain so that we could grow and share in each other’s creativity. Hopefully between the two of us you will find something to your enjoyment. Mission Statement As an author it has always been my belief that the goal of story telling should be to leave a lasting impact on its audience. Rather then simply forgetting a few weeks after the fact, a great story’s recipients should walk away a slightly different person. They should be moved or inspired to view the world around them in a different light then they did before (even if only in the smallest way). Great works challenge our opinions, open us to new realms of thought, and stir our emotions. They imbed in us a message, one that can influence our actions for the rest of our lives. A truly good story is never forgotten; it allows us to grow and mature and remains in our hearts until the day we die. In my work I strive to impact my audience in such a way. I wish to allow them to imagine the world as more then what it is, but what it could be. I wish to help them to remember a time when they were young and hopeful, and to ask them why the fantasy world they dreamed of yesterday can’t become truth tomorrow. I believe in the power of the human spirit and the importance of the minds of children. To those who will listen, I attempt to enlighten on plight of those who suffer. To tell them that there is a great injustice in our world, one that brings a disease and starvation to thousands of the innocents daily. But most importantly, I wish to inform them of them of their power to stop it. In a world where $1 a day can bring life to one that would otherwise be lost, anyone can be a hero. I’ll leave you now with a story that has had a significant impact on me and my actions, and more then likely is the reason that I believe as I do today… “There was once a little girl
walking along a beach that was covered with hundreds of beached starfish.
As she walked she threw them one by one, back into the sea. Upon seeing
this, a man approached the girl. "Stop wasting your time little one,”
instructed the worldly businessmen. “Look at how many starfish there
are. You couldn't possibly save all of them, not in a hundred years. So
what does it even matter if you save only a few?" After hearing this,
the little girl reached down and picked up another starfish, then threw
it into the sea. "It matters to that one" she said, and carried
on with what she was doing.” Feel free to contact me at Author @ WildTwilight.com, And please take a momment a learn a little about our world an what you can do to help save it.
